Fukuoka Canada Society had been established in September 1999 in order to deepen mutual friendship and understanding and to further promote exchange programs among citizens in the fields such as culture, economy and science and technology.
Canada is a pro-Japanese nation holding peace preserving policy and values on its relations with Asian nations. As a member of Asia-Pacific region, Canada advances cooperative efforts in politics, economy and culture with other nation members.
Canada is also known for abundant natural resources and agricultural, forestry and fishery products. Canada also possesses high-technology know-how in the area of space development and aircraft businesses and thus became Japan’s prominent trading partners. Specially, increasingly important innovation partner in areas such as AI and Digital Transformation (DX) . It will generate new opportunities for developing business linkages between Japan and Canada.
Fukuoka Canada Society has been offering many exchange programs such as courtesy visits, lectures and Christmas parties in order to deepen relations between Fukuoka and Canada. Not to mention of cultural, economic and science and technology aspects, it is vital to build close ties in the fields of ecology, building materials, automobile and other high technology with Canada.
We will be conducting many eventful programs related to Canada and we are always delighted to welcome new members sharing the same interests.
